Walk for the Animals 2025 - Oshkosh Area Humane Society

We are excited to share our 2025 Walk for the Animals: Be Our Lifesaver event will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Sunnyview Expo Center’s Barn E from 8:30am-11:30am!

This year’s event will feature a live band, face painting, kids’ activities, dog games, fun prizes, food and drinks from the Brewing Futures food truck, vendor booths, goody bags, raffle baskets and more! See Schedule of Events below for more details

Help us reach our goal of raising $65,000 for our animal medical fund –
raise pledges now!

Please note: printed pledge forms are also available at the shelter;
printed 2025 Walk brochures will be mailed to past supporters and available at the shelter after August 11th.

Every year, we rely heavily on this fundraiser to generate the funding needed to replenish our medical care fund. This supports the costs of providing a medical exam for each animal, including vaccinations, testing, blood work, medications, spaying and neutering, and other veterinary care as needed.

These funds ensure OAHS can compassionately care for the more than 3,200 animals in need who come through our doors each year, and to provide low-cost vaccination and microchipping clinics to the community.

Pet relinquishment continues to be on the rise due to economic factors, and costs for food, supplies and medical care have also increased over the last year. Our goal for this event is to raise $65,000.

2025 WALK FOR THE ANIMALS SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

8:30-9:45am: Welcome!
• Sign in to pick up your goody bag
• Submit your pledges & pick up your T-shirt (for those who raised $50; while supplies last)

8:30-11:30am: Music, Food & Fun!
• Face painting, kids’ activities & dog games
• Live music from Second Hand Stereo
• Snacks, drinks & pup cups from BrewingFutures food truck
• Booths including Crafters for a Cause, the Wisconsin House Rabbit Society, Madison Area Herpetological Society & Badgerland Reptile Rescue and more!
• Raffle tickets (sold until 10:30am)

10:00am: Walk Begins
Walk kick off and start of the group walk! The Walk is approximately 1 mile and is optional; feel free to walk as much or as little as you please!

11:00am: Winners Announced!
• Walk Champions & Top Pledge-Raiser
• Gift card winners
• Raffle basket winners posted

Dogs are welcome to join you for the Walk! They need to be leashed and current on vaccinations; please, no dogs in heat.

Early Registration: Bring your pledge form with your offline and online pledges to the shelter at 1925 Shelter Court in Oshkosh on Wednesday, Sept.10, or Thursday, Sept.11, between 2-6pm. Turn in your pledges and collect your Walk T-shirt and goody bag in advance. Don’t have a printer? No worries! We have printed ones at the shelter you can use.
