Volunteers are the heart of our organization and an essential part of our Lifesaving Mission!

Interested in volunteering hands-on at the shelter with the animals? The animals love visitors, and we would love to have you help us make their stay happy and comfortable while they await adoption.

There are many volunteer opportunities available at OAHS:

• Dog Socialization – Walk and exercise dogs, conduct basic manners training, socialize
• Small Animal Socialization – Exercise small animals, socialize, provide enrichment
• Laundry
• Shelter Events
• Parades
• Lawn work

To begin, please complete a Volunteer Application (age 16+) or Family Volunteer Application (parent/guardian with child age 12+)
