Things pet likes:

Loves fetch, any toys at all, stuffies (but he will shred them!), very food motivated (and very easy to train with treats)
He loves going for walks, but not terribly long ones 🙂

Things pet doesn’t like:

Loud noises, he tends to hide or need to be snuggled. Beeping noises as well – we think it’s due to shock collar use in previous home.

Positive qualities pet has:

Ryker is a sweet and loveable boy. He absolutely loves to play and to snuggle. He’s wicked smart and has been easily trained on many tricks and commands. He’s a bit obsessed with other dogs. He gets very over-excited when other dogs walk past. He whines and wants to go see them. His loud bark sounds angrier than he means it to (which is very Corgi of him).
He is very house trained, and will do anything for cuddles. I don’t know if I can say enough good things about him.

Reason for rehoming pet:

Ryker is an amazing boy, but he had a rough start from what we can tell. It sounds like he had another dog in a home at one point that was a not nice to him, and he picked up some bad traits. Because of that, he is very aggressive to our other corgi. He lashes out and it’s been bad at times. We have worked with him,  watch for queues, and it gets better for a while. It’s gotten a bit more frequent lately and we just can’t take chances. It’s not good for either of them. He is not aggressive with any other dogs, ever. He plays so nicely with them!
We have tried so hard, we love him so much and he really is a good boy. I will have a list of all the commands he knows, and everything about him. We want him to be in a good home that will love him as much as we do. He just can’t have other dogs in the home.

Kind of home pet needs:

He will be great in a single-dog home that has a yard and people who love to snuggle. He is a corgi, so you need to be prepared for barking at the wind blowing… but he’s not quite as high energy as some corgis, he’s a good mix of spurts of energy and lazy.
He is kennel trained, although he’d prefer not to have to be in there. My husband works from home, so he is rarely kenneled during the day, and if he is it’s only for a few hours. I think he would be good out of a kennel during the day, but two of them out unattended wasn’t an option for us.
He just truly needs to be the only dog. He will love you endlessly.
