Do you think your pet would be happy in a home with children? | No |
If yes, what ages of children would your pet be most comfortable with? | No children |
I am good with dogs | Yes |
I am good with cats | Was but since my other dog passed, she chases my cats. |
Things pet likes: | Toys. running and playing with other dogs. Has to have the non-destructible toys because she will tear every toy apart |
Things pet doesn’t like: | Storms, strangers, fire works |
Please describe how your pet reacts around strangers | She will bark and growl. She will nip/bite if the stranger walks right up to her. If I have her on a leash and let her go to the person, she usually does better. |
Positive qualities pet has: | Smart, house trained if taken out every couple hours. |
Reason for rehoming pet | I am a family childcare provider, and I do this in my home. I do not trust her with the age of children I have, so she is in her kennel up to 14 hours a day. And since I lost my other dog in February, I feel she would be happy with another dog, get some of that energy she has out. She is a barker, she will bark at noises, familiar people that enter the house and strangers. Since losing my other dog she also goes after my cats, she used to leave them alone. We have had her since a puppy, and as much as I do not want to do this, we feel it would be better for her to go to a home where she will be out more and maybe have another dog to interact with, and more interaction with people. I think with the right person/family and a little more training she would be fine. |
Kind of home pet needs | I think she would do best in a home without young children due to her nipping and she is very high energy(hyper). |
