Things pet likes: | Gus loves playing fetch and playing in the snow. |
Things pet doesn’t like: | He does not like being in the car, getting groomed, or being startled. |
Positive qualities pet has: | He is extremely smart. He is house trained. He is very curious. He tends to mind his own business but can be very sweet and snuggly when he’s in the mood for loving. |
Reason for rehoming pet | He has shown more irritation bordering on aggression with the little ones in our home and he has a prey drive that is extremely high. This has been a problem with our chickens and other animals that have come on to our property such as cats, raccoons, and woodchucks. |
Kind of home pet needs | An active and loving home that has no kids or only older kids and no other pets. Preferably someone familiar and willing to work with some guarding and food related behaviors. He has done “okay” with other dogs but it seems to depend on the dog, so another dog may or may not be okay. |
