Hi! I wanted to update, I adopted Casanova on Saturday. Little buddy was confided to the bathroom for the first day then went and hid under our bed. Yesterday he finally started to come out for pets and loving if I lay on the floor by the bed. He's such a sweetie. Thank you for adopting him to us, he seems to be slowly improving. which I understand a kitty would be scared going to a new home. My cat Kira seems to ignore him but are doing just fine with her going in and out of the bedroom. I'm happy I cant wait to finalize the adoption. I will come in next week. Thank you guys, I know heather was very excited when we picked Casanova. Also my girls love him, he likes to be pet. Unlike Kira Haha, She is a little nipper. I'm so happy. Also thank you so much for the class for adoption. At first i thought it was weird, like "why need a class cuz i already own a cat. " But! my mind was quickly changed when i took the class. There's a lot of valuable information and I think it makes a huge difference for family's and their new adoptees. Thank you guys so much.

Almond made her self comfortable, in her new home, in just a few short hours. When introduced to our other cat 'Cinder', she pretty much ignored her. She ate, drank, and used the litter box, with in the first hour, of our bringing her home. She enjoys running about our home, with 'Cinder' following her from room to room. She seems quite happy, with her new home, and is adjusting very well. Thanks!!

Oahs is fantastic! I adopted Cuddles from oahs almost 2 years ago and every few months she needs her (harmless) cyst drained. Oahs lets me bring her in and takes care of it for me! I always appreciate their help and support!

When I went online I was impressed by all of the animals then I saw Luigi the rabbit and I wanted to meet Luigi right away. So when I went to meet Luigi everyone was very nice and then I submitted application to adopt Luigi and a few days later a call came in and I got Luigi and when I went in I got some very valuable information on rabbit health and I appreciate that and now I have Luigi and we are good friends. Thanks OAHS!

The Misha & Gretchen (kittens) are doing great overall! They settled into their new environment fairly quickly. It has been many years since getting a new forever pet, so the tips provided during the adoption session were very helpful.

“I can't thank you enough for introducing us to Sasha. We planned to adopt from a different shelter at first, but we weren't impressed with how they handled their animals. When I told you what kind of cat we were looking for, you immediately had a list for me to meet - everyone knew every cat and every personality, and I can't say even close to the same about the other shelter. I'm so happy you require a class to adopt a pet, regardless of people's experience with animals. I learned so much, and I'm so happy to know you're teaching people that a pet isn't just an accessory and showing the right way to care for them, despite what people may have learned from friends/family/TV/etc. I will continue to recommend you to everyone I know and sing your praises to anyone who will listen. And again, thank you for Sasha - she's my best little friend, and I don't know what I'd do without her!”

Thanks millions and millions,
Meghan Plummer

We recently adopted a bonded pair of kittens from this facility and not only were they clean and organized but they had an actual adoption process. In our past experiences with shelters we would go and pick out an animal and bring it home that day. We really liked that they actually took the time to make sure you were a good fit for the animals. They were very friendly and made sure you had all your questions answered. They gave us all the past health information on them and the surrendering papers so we knew all the information they knew on the kittens. They were extremely affordable and helpful! If we ever need to adopt again in the future, this is where we'd go:)

I can't say enough good things about OAHS. They truly care about the animals and want what's best for them. I visited a few times searching for two bonded cats. They led us to Vincent and Jules (formerly Ziggles) and it was meant to be. I couldn't be happier with the boys and can't thank OAHS for allowing us to bring them into our home.

OAHS has been excellent to work with. Where our pup was concerned, they made sure that he was ready to go with his vaccinations and fixing before we took him home. Our dog Moose was well treated by OAHS prior to our adoption. My family was treated well by all staff members, and we were impressed by the education provided by their experts during the adoption process. We are deeply grateful to OAHS, and we highly recommend working with them.
