Rehoming Your Pet
Requirements
This rehoming service is NOT intended for the sale of animals or purposely-bred litters. The goal of the rehoming service is for individual owners to find good, permanent homes for their animals, not to sell animals for a profit. You may, however, ask for a donation as a rehoming fee.
All cats and rabbits listed through the rehoming service MUST be spayed/neutered if over the age of 6 months. We strongly recommend dogs be spayed or neutered as well. In addition, OAHS highly recommends all animals posted be up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations for their particular species: rabies and distemper.
By posting an animal on this website, you are taking full responsibility for and ownership of the animal. You are also expected to represent your pet honestly.
More Information
Including a photo of your animal is strongly encouraged since postings with photos often generate the most interest. Use the "Description" box to describe why you are rehoming your pet, notes about its personality and what the ideal new home for your pet would be. OAHS staff reserves the right to edit any postings for length or content. Your phone or email will be visible to the public.
After you submit your pet's information, your post will be reviewed. In general, approval takes 1-2 business days and it will then be active for 60 days. Should you need it reposted after that time, please submit it again and we will post it for another 60 days. When you have found a new home for your pet, please let us know so we can remove your post.
If you have any questions, comments, would like to extend a posting or have found a new home for your pet, please contact info @oahs.org. If you have decided to rehome your pet because of an issue that we may be able to help you resolve, please call our Caregiving Dept. at 920-303-2128.
