Foster Care

Foster a Pet...Save a Life

The Oshkosh Area Humane Society is a Life Saving Shelter.  Every adoptable animal will get the opportunity to find a forever home, regardless of shelter space constraints.  Our Foster Care program provides loving temporary homes to those animals that need some extra TLC before being adopted. That can mean kittens that are too young to be adopted or an animal who needs time to recover from an illness or injury. And sometimes we just need temporary homes for when our shelter is full.

What do you need to provide?
Just your home and your love! We provide everything else including food and supplies such as litter, feeding dishes, toys, etc.

Note: We require that your personal animals are current on vaccines. We also ask that you provide an adequate space for isolation of feline fosters.

Foster Families Needed

Every day, cats and kittens arrive at OAHS that we just don’t have enough room for.  OAHS is a life saving shelter, which means we will not euthanize due to the lack of space in the building.  This is where you can help.  By providing a temporary home, you give us the support we need until we find them a loving permanent home.
