Transport for Low Cost Neuters & Spays

Low Cost Neuter and Spay Transport

We have partnered with the Spay Me Clinic from Madison, WI in order to make low-cost spay/neuter services available to people in Oshkosh and surrounding cities. OAHS assists participants in the program by helping them fill out paperwork, collecting payments to submit to the Spay Me Clinic and by serving as a monthly pick up and drop off location for pets participating in the program.

Spaying and neutering not only helps unwanted animals from being born, it can also prevent many unwanted behavioral issues (e.g. litter box problems in cats, territorial marking in dogs, roaming, and aggressive behavior between pets in the home amongst animals of both species). When animals are spayed and neutered, they make better pets.

In addition to providing a low-cost option for spaying and neutering pets, the clinic includes a free rabies and or just $5 more, a distemper vaccination for each pet. Pet owners can also elect to pay for additional services such as flea treatment, feline leukemia and feline aids testing, heartworm testing, and micro chipping.

Please contact the Oshkosh Area Humane Society at 920.424.2128 for current pricing and for dates of upcoming transports! Completing paperwork and making a payment for services are required to reserve your pet’s spay or neuter appointment.  Please stop into OAHS at your convenience and allow our staff assist you with the filing of the papers you need to have your pet altered and to answer any questions you may have about the procedure being done.

Mission Statement

The Life Saving Mission of the Oshkosh Area Humane Society is to save the lives of animals in need by providing shelter and care for lost, unwanted or abandoned animals. We pledge that every adoptable animal will get the opportunity to find a loving home regardless of space and with no time limitations.
You can help: donate, foster, adopt.

Foster Families Needed

Every day, cats and kittens arrive at OAHS that we just don’t have enough room for.  OAHS is a life saving shelter, which means we will not euthanize due to the lack of space in the building.  This is where you can help.  By providing a temporary home, you give us the support we need until we find them a loving permanent home.
